About Me

IMG_5005.jpg
My name is Sarah Hudd and I have been a teacher since 2001. I have worked in schools in the UK and also at the International School in the British Virgin Islands. I have taught across the breadth of the Primary Curriculum, teaching children from Reception through to Year 6. Most recently, I have worked in a successful Surrey Prep School as Assistant SENCO, teaching and supporting children with a wide range of additional needs.
I began tutoring privately in 2012 and I now tutor children of primary school age in Maths and English. I offer 11+ and SATS preparation. With my SEN background, I am also able to tailor lessons to support children with a learning difficulty or spectrum condition. I also tutor children further afield from my home in Woking and even internationally through Zoom and Microsoft Teams. I teach children who are in formal education and also studying from home.

I provide a supportive, calm and enjoyable environment to enable children to achieve to the best of their ability. My experience has taught me that fostering confidence in children to enable a positive view of themselves as a learner is  the key to unlocking academic success and creating self belief.
